    WHO WE ARE

    At IIT we work enthusiastically to develop human-centered Science and Technology to tackle some of the most pressing societal challenges of our times and transfer these technologies to the production system and society. Our Genoa headquarter is strictly inter-connected with our 11 centres around Italy and two outer-stations based in the US for a truly interdisciplinary experience. The “Centro per la medicina Personalizzata Preventiva e Predittiva” (CMP3VdA) is a laboratory for medical genomics analysis located in Aosta. The CMP3VdA was established as part of the 5000genomes@VdA research project and it has a strong focus on medical genomics and bioinformatics. 

    YOUR TEAM

    You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out the research. The “Computational and Chemical Biology” Research Line is coordinated by Prof. Andrea Cavalli, who has extensive experience in building innovative computational tools and algorithms to enhance the discovery of novel and better medicines. 

    • Development and Maintenance of web service used to support the Laboratory activity: LIMS, MNG applications;
    • Management of activities and assistance to user problems, first level support to all the requests and planning the interventions for hardware and software issues;
    • Cooperation with the other ICT offices to manage standard changes and higher level requests.

    WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE

    • High school graduation in Computer Science or similar
    • Documented experience in JavaScript, Python or Ruby
    • Use of Git distributed version control system
    • Knowledge of the frameworks Django or Ruby On Rail and the React library
    • Good knowledge of the English language
    • Familiarity with the main IT software packages, including Word and Excel
    • Familiarity with the main administration tools for Windows and Linux Operating System
    • Cooperative approach with the stakeholders 
    • Accuracy and good analytical skills 

    EXTRA AWESOME

    • A Master or Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline
    • Knowledge of ERP software
    • Good communication skills
    • Strong problem solving attitude
    • High motivation to learn
    • Spirit of innovation and creativity
    • Good in time and priority management
    • Ability to work in a challenging and international environment
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary and multicultural environment
